Morning Red Bird

Good morning!!

My blogs have been so sporadic lately. I'm trying to fix that... but to be perfectly honest, I don't feel like I've had a lot to say lately.

Love and Decay is wrapping up this week. Which is so hard to believe.

I'm not giving myself much of a break- only two months. I know it feels like a long time to you, but really, it's so short. I have so much I want to do in that short amount of time.

Anyway, Love and Decay completely took over my life for the last six months and it's going to feel bizarre to not have to think about it for a little bit.

Don't worry, you won't have to worry about it either. Reagan and the crew will be just fine during the break. They will survive. I promise. :)

And The Relentless Warrior is making steady progress.

I wanted to have it finished by now and released this week, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. So now I'm shooting for first part of December.

I can't even blame Love and Decay for how long TRW is taking this month. It had a lot more to do with just being busy with life. November turned into crazy town and we have been running all over the place! I love this time of year though. I love all the parties and get-togethers. Love them.

I'm usually a little bit of a recluse. It's hard enough trying to get work done with all the kids running around the house, so I try to keep our schedule clear enough that I can accomplish things every once in a while. But November and December push me out of that routine and it's nice to mix it up a little bit!!

I also potty trained last week. Which was very time consuming.

But let me tell you this. I did it. In one week. Stryker is officially potty-trained!!!!!!!!!

This is so thrilling to me. I can cut back to buying one set of diapers. Hallelujah!!!

Plus, he was seriously the easiest kid to potty-train ever. And I mean, he's completely trained. Through the night, through nap, in the big potty, every kind of potty! I mean, he's even had diarrhea(His poor tummy) the last two days and it hasn't bothered him at all. He's a genius. I swear.

Because it wasn't me.

I've done this twice before and it's NEVER been this easy!!!

Seriously, I didn't even have to bribe him. He just learned. And like, the first morning he had three accidents. But that was it. He's had a couple over the week... but nothing messy and nothing that wasn't super easy to clean up and move on from. He just figured it out.

Seriously. He. Is. A. Genius.

Of course, I've never noticed above average intelligence in him until now... in fact, kind of the opposite. I was a little worried about him for a while. :)

Ahem, I'm not being mean. He was just my first boy. And my girls were so verbal and meticulous. He... is not that way.

But now, I'm calling it. He's the next Albert Einstein. He's so smart.

And yes, it all has to do with the potty. But hey! My girls were NIGHTMARES when it came to this kind of thing!!

It literally took me ONE week to get him all the way potty-trained. I mean, that's unheard of!!

He's making me feel like super-mom. Which I am not. On any given day I am exactly the opposite of Super Mom. I'm more like Super-How-Not-To-Raise-Your-Children-Mom.

So, I'll take this victory. Even if it put me behind schedule... This is more important, right?? No? Not to you???

In fact, is it weird that I just blogged about potty-training???? Yes?

Alright.

I'll stop.

:)

So, back to the writing stuff.... This week, Love and Decay, Episode Twelve will be out. I'm doing a Write-In Wednesday Vlog on Wednesday, so if you have any questions, submit them now!!!!

I'll answer anything!

I have a few questions already this week for aspiring writers. So if you have anything else! Now's your chance!!

And... what else... I think that's it!!! Hope you're all having a fantastic Monday!

  1. my middle daughter was a nightmare to potty train. I remember praying for just a drop to come out of her bottom while on the potty. and nothing. but having raised 3 girls I cannot imagine having to train a boy. so YAY! to your successful week!
